Railroad personnel records and Frisco documents collected by Fred Veregge make up the contents of this collection.
Mr. Veregge was a railroad enthusiast who wanted to help preserve the history of the Frisco Railroad. He came across these records as the Frisco Railroad was merging with the Burlington Railroad. As a result the Frisco Railway records warehouse was abandoned and the records were to be destroyed. Mr. Veregge learned of this and acquired the materials.
This collection contains the personnel records and other various documents of the Frisco Railroad. The collection is divided up into two series. The first contains personnel records listed in alphabetical order. These folders contain materials such as: personal letters, telegrams, accident reports, and applications and application letters. The second series, identified as “subject files,” contains various documents related to the railroad such as: lists of Frisco employees, railroad association reports, accident/wreck reports, Mr. Veregge’s website, and guest lists.
