TranscriptO rock a bye baby your pop's on his claim, way out in the west where the tornado came / He's got him no razor he's got him no hone he shaves with his jack knife and whets on a bone. / He'll break us a garden and patch for some corn and come for the baby some cold winter morn. / He'll wrap up the baby in jack rabbit skins and thorns from the cactus he'll use for the pins / O cold are the blizzards and deep are the snows way out in the west where the lone settler goes / The crops are so short and the prices so low, the bright golden future is coming so slow.
